Pixels and Petals

'Pixels and Petals' is part of the 10-piece Chaotic Garden series. Each work is created using three layers, with two layers of reverse-painted acrylic sheet separated to create depth between the foreground, middle ground and background. As the eye moves around the painting, colours and shapes overlap and shift, creating changing shadows, movement and a sense of depth.

The series is inspired by the idea of a chaotic garden, where plants are free to grow and intertwine without everything being perfectly planned or arranged.

Framed in a white frame, this artwork measures 73 × 44.5 cm, including the frame, and weighs 3.5kg. The painting is created using two layers of reverse-painted acrylic sheet, separated to create depth, with a painted backing board forming the third layer.
