Hello, I'm Hayley and welcome to the home of my original artworks.

I am a Christchurch based artist with a background in design. My creative process derives inspiration from a number of places, particularly the vast natural beauty of New Zealand. I love to create pieces that stem from simple forms and demonstrate elegance with impact.

My current artworks are reverse painted on perspex and have a particular focus on showcasing the detail within simple aspects of nature. By painting on the reverse side of the medium, I exploit the interplay of light and shadow infusing each piece with a unique depth and detail. This technique evokes a sense of depth and wonder, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty that surrounds them. 

  

I am also a mother of two. There is no end to the joy I feel seeing my children's creativity blossom and their imagination come to life, with or without a paintbrush.
